Chapter 3:
1. What is Boxer's motto? Why does he believe so strongly in Napoleon? Is this sort of blind allegiance dangerous? Why/why not?
2. Describe the ritual performed every Sunday morning. Describe the symbolic meaning of the flag they raise.
3. Explain the results of the initial attempts at education. Which animals are intelligent? Which are less so? Is this the beginning of a division of classes?
4. What slogan, or maxim, replaces the 7 commandments for the less intelligent animals? Is this sort of simplification a wise idea?
5. Who gets the apples and milk? Is this fair? Is it in keeping with the 7 commandments? What propaganda is used to justify this unfairness?
Chapter 4:
1. Describe the significance of the spread of the "Beasts of England" song to the other farms. What are the other farmers nervous?
