In class Ipad research assignment:
Today we will be prefacing our study of Steinbeck's classic novel Of Mice and Men through a reading of secondary and critical sources on the schools immense Online Database...awesome!
1) First, here is a link to the Literature Resource Center, which can also be found on my blog and on the school website under library/media center. Open it (it should open in a new window) and you will see the screen listed below. Toggle back to this page to see step 2.
2) Enter the password that I give you and you will gain admittance to the next screen. Type Steinbeck into the Author Search.
3) Choose the first result
4) Read through the BIOGRAPHIES and take notes on the sheets provided. Be sure to copy down the bibliographic information for each source!
5) Read at least one selection from LITERARY CRITICISM and take notes on/respond to the sheet.
6) Hand in at the end of class.

- Read OMM just to the break on page two (stop after "who have sat on it.")
- Be ready to discuss the imagery of the opening paragraphs you have read.
